Dryce is an optical sorting machine with high resolution cameras that examine the product using the "free fall double side view" system which analyses 100% of the surface of each product.

The system is specially designed to sort Dried and Frozen food products.

Dryce can dispose of color defects, black spots, stalks, seeds, mold and foreign bodies. It can sort by caliber and in some cases also by shape.

The main fields of application are frozen fruit (diced, sliced, berries, etc.), frozen vegetables (diced, peas, green beans, corn, etc.) nuts (walnuts, almonds, hazelnuts, etc.).

Dryce is available in two versions: for production capacity up to 4 t/h (based on frozen peas) the suitable  model is DR602. For higher production (8 t/h based on frozen peas) the model DR1202 is available with the same features. Both models can be equipped with 3Way ejection system. They can have two reject systems on board to differentiate unusable produce from second quality.

Dryce is a Dodeca-Chromatic machine equipped with the following technologies:

  • NIR (Near InfraRed) technology;
  • Visible Color analysis;
  • Chlorophyll analysis;
  • Translucency analysis;
  • Shape analysis;
  • Blob function;
  • Stem function;
  • Glass function;
  • Big Stop.

NIR technology can detect the presence of rotten and foreign bodies.
Visible Color analysis allows colour defects to be detected, such as green products, yellowing, etc.

The machine detects statistical data on rejected products for quality analysis of the selected raw material.

The machine works properly up to -10°C (14°F). However Dryce can work up to -20°C (-4°F), by adopting special materials and in the presence of compressed air suitably treated.
